Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy s10. I am not receiving any voicemail notifications. I have tried everything I've searched on what to do. I am at a complete loss. I had 3 voicemails that I never got a notification for. The only reason I knew I had them was because a friend called and when I called him back, he said he left me one, but never got anything showing that I had any.

Yes, a factory reset will wipe the device. We recommend backing it up first and any apps that don't come back when you re load the gmail to add them 1 by one back to the device.

If you have run out if options, I will go ahead and do it. I will need to wait till I have a couple hours to rebuild the phone and preferences once I destroy it.

Just a thought: are you on unlocked firmware or was this purchased from Verizon Wireless?
If it's from Verizon Wireless, then the reset is best.

I would then recommend the factory reset. Let us know if this helps. AustinL_VZW

My Note 9 has this problem. My voicemail was full and I had no idea. Never had this problem years ago with VZW. This must be due to this "Visual Voicemail" premium service interfering in notifications. I sure hope VZW isn't sabotaging VM alerts to force people to use Visual Voicemail.

Hi Zyx. I would love to review any voicemail issue with you. When did this start? Are you still having a voicemail issue? Are you using Visual Voicemail?

Hi. I'm troubleshooting my husband's phone. It is an s10e. He uses *86 to access voicemail. All settings are set properly. There is no voicemail app or visual voicemail app on the phone and I've looked in the PlayStore and GalaxyStore and can't find a Samsung nor a Verizon app to install. I didn't buy the phone from Verizon. We've had them quite a while and mine notifies me properly. His does not. I THINK that earlier today he had a notification that mentioned visual voicemail and I tried to turn off that notification hoping he would start getting regular vm notification for *86. But no. And now I can't find the visual app either. Whatever I did to turn it off was from the notification itself. I didn't actually open an app to do it. What to do?

I just got off with tech Support. Basically - if its not a Verizon purchased phone, we will be unable to use the Verizon VM app. I called my phone from another line and left a message. The Samsung then popped up with a VM icon. But This is a Samsung App. I accessed it and works just like the old VM did. Hope this helps you!

Yes, thanks. My husband and I have the same phone/service. Mine has the samsung VM app and I get voicemail notifications just fine. His doesn't have that app and he doesn't get notifications. I can't find a way to install it (nor the verizon vm app). It's not that I want to use Visual Voicemail. I just want notifications and they seem to be tied to this app. Sounds like I should go to a samsung forum. Thanks.

Stonetica, I am here for you and will be happy to help get this all resolved. Is the device currently active on a Verizon Wireless account? JoseL_VZW

Hi. Thanks for replying. Oddly enough, as of yesterday, the voicemail app is on his phone. It says it was downloaded from the Galaxy Store, which is what I wanted to do, but couldn't locate it. We have used this to enable the basic Visual Voicemail service from Verizon and we are happy with it. He now gets notifications as he should. I also switched mine to Visual. Makes me wonder about my sanity, but I KNOW the app wasn't there when I first posted. 😊

I had the same problem with my Galaxy S10e... I found that notifications was turned off for the My Verizon app... I turned notifications on for My Verizon app after which I received a call from an unknown number then saw the voicemail icon in the status bar for first time since purchasing the phone... hope this helps
