Samsung Note 10

Every time i tried to update my phone on mobile data, many different WiFi networks, I get an error message that can't do it because I have a bad connection. My connection is just fine. I finally did it using my laptop and update assistant. Took about an hour plugged in. Just curious why my phone can't seem to update or if anyone else has this problem.

There are times when it is necessary to use the Software Update Assistant to get the latest software installed, Vink70.  We are glad to hear that you were able to use this method to update the software. It is difficult to say why you were unable to use the mobile data or Wi-Fi connections at the time. Has that happened with prior updates? Have you experienced any trouble using data in general, either over mobile sources or Wi-Fi?

This was my first update to the phone since I got it two months ago. I bet I checked 50 times to see if there was an update. Both on 4g and many WiFi networks. All with that same picture message.

Vink70, thank you for the details. Please ensure the phone has been turned off and back on. What is the current software version installed on the phone?

I restarted multiple times. I tried everything except a factory reset.

Software is N970USQS4CTG1

I must say this phone is being difficult to update, Vink70. Since you have tried to update it via WiFi and regular data services then it is an issue with a device. It does seem like you need to reset the device to factory setting. You will want to ensure you back up your information prior to doing this. https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-227230/ Do you have any questions regarding this information? AmberF_VZW

Same problem on my note 9 and Verizon keeps blaming it on Samsung,  Verizon also tells me they dont send updates. Ha it on there website with the new firmware numbers so shame on Verizon's support.  Anyway if someone can tell me the steps it took to update the note 9 I'd appreciate it thanks
