When will we receive the Note9 Android Pie update? AT&T T-Mobile AND Sprint have already released it to the Note9. That is just sad.

Seriously Verizon?
This is not good enough. No communication at ll about the delay make me questions my loyalty as a customer.
Do I side load, or find a better carrier???? Certaily cant depend on Verizon to provide any real answers!

The answer is that should just go ahead and side load ... easy instructions on firmwarescience web site. simple to do direct from an SD card if you have one. I have had 0 issues with One UI, other than taking a few days to get used to some of the new gestures, etc.. loving it so far

Definetely faster if you side load it since sometime in 2020 when verizon will catch up to all the others who have already released it.

Agree i have been with Verizon forever i think it's time to switch when my contract is over. Verizon is the most reliable carrier and the last by a mile for updates. And they leave their customer in the dark. That's the worst. It's time to pull the olug on Verizon.

I've been with Verizon forever but I guess if i want timely updates I need to choose a different carrier. Ridiculous to have no idea when I might get the update, no security update in February and the fact that the latest Samsung phone (note 9) has been ignored in favor of the older S9 and S9+ is sad. You are terrible Verizon!

The link you provided in this is useless, and rediciulous. It tells NO INFO WHATSOEVER. You guys do have the update, per Samsung. You guys need to get off your butts and release it.

I plan on buying an unlocked device going forward. No more of this garbage...

Problem with buying unlocked is you don't get HD calling, or WiFi calling. I bought unlocked this time and ended up having to flash the verizon firmware to get those features. firmware.science has the pie update anyway so its not a big deal.

Agreed, been with Verizon since 2011, maybe late 2010 and this is ridiculous. I have to seriously consider switching carriers as I have friends and co-workers who have had pie for nearly a month and we cannot even get an idea on when it may be available.
This is no longer 2011 and Verizon is the one carrier that reaches where I need when I travel.
Hey Verizon, maybe a little less customization and mucking about and more time spent "adding value to your customers." Ever heard mouthpieces for your company say that? How about you do it?

That is such a non answer. The ota is done and available online. I shouldn't have to go buy a micro sd card just to get timely updates. This is just sad

Exactly, the generic repsonses are maddening and complete garbage. Looks like verizon will land the S10s with Pie before the Note 9 to entice people to buy that phone this friday on 3/8!
Im done...

It's probably just a bot spewing canned responses. You don't expect Verizon to care any more about informing its customers than it does about updating its phones do you? Seriously Verizon, you're a total joke when it comes to keeping phone software up to date. It's sad that Samsung took 5 months to roll out the Pie update, and just plain embarrassing that Verizon is holding it up for another 2 or 3.

RodVanderHuge to keep things transparent, we're all actual live employees that monitor and respond to posts via our Verizon Community Forums. Keeping our customers informed is a top priority for us and I regret that Android Pie for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is delayed and taking longer than expected. I myself get the need for all the enhancements/security updates that come with Android Pie.
The biggest thing we focus on before any software update is released is to ensure the update itself doesn't negatively impact the use of any Verizon Wireless applications or functions, along with ensuring it doesn't impact your ability to use our network. I wish we could provide a timeline for when Android Pie will be released for the Galaxy Note 9 but don't have any exact details at this time. I'm confident the update will be available here soon.

The way to avoid this mess and angering your customers is that Verizon give relevant and truthful information about its plan and update times. We all know that exact date cannot be given due to unforeseen circumstances but.... And this is a big but, ignoring your customers never a good idea. Verizon in a monopol situation but that doesn't mean it can ignore its customers.
Statements that clear about the cause of the delay and an approximate time would be greatly appreciated.
Verizon practice inexcusable and intolerable.

You ar making sure it wont negatively impact customers!!? We have already tested it for you. The latest update fixed bluetooth and compass. I've been on it since it came out. No issues. Without real answers, people are going to start assuming the worst, eg. "You want pie but dont want to downgrade to the s9, just buy the s10"
