I agree.   Overall, I'm generally OK with the Fascinate, but Verizon's support (or rather lack of it) is abysmal.

 

I have problems with POP3 email, dropped calls, GPS and many of the same problems identified by other customers and that Verizon has known about (and documented) for many months.

 

Solutions to the problems, whether to be resolved by FROYO or other updates continue to be delayed.   In the meantime, they seem to have plenty of resources to introduce, market and sell new phone models.   Evidently they need more engineers and fewer Marketing types.

 

A smartphone that does not meet basic needs due to abysmal customer support and software functionality isn't too smart.

 

People should be talking about a class-action lawsuit to make Verizon stand behind its products and its promises.

 

Already thinking about how best to dump the service as a result of my experiences with the Fascinate.

1. sell Fascinate on ebay or craigslist

2. pay etf

3. switch carriers

 

But then you'll just run into the same problems with the others so it's lose-lose.
