Number change

I had to change my number recently.  Upon doing so, I am able to text people no problem.  But my beau and friends with Iphones can't seem to text me.  We have done a number of things to try and fix this.  Any ideas?

Being able to receive messages from iPhones so you get all your texts is crucial.  Let's get to the bottom of this together.  When did this first start (after the number change, etc.)?  Does this happen with all messages and all iPhones?  What type of phone do you have?  -Sean

It is never every person I know but one main one is my better half I can text him but he can't text me, my brother is another, my former boss, my boss now.  Just to name a few.  They have to turn around and reach out to me on fb messenger just to talk to to me then usually send me screenshots showing they tried to text me.   But i didnt get them.  Yes it started when number changed. Ya'll sent a new sim card.  But it activated a whole new line on our acct.  Which is not what we wanted.  That sim card never was replaced.  So im still dealing with this.
