Outlook Password Bypass

I recently synched my phone with my corporate email, contacts and calendar. The problem is that everytime I want to use my phone, I need to enter a password. Furthermore, if the password is entered incorrectly one time, the entire phone is wiped!

I have tried installing the LockPicker app, but this doesn't seem to work on my phone. Has anyone else used this app on the Fascinate, and did it work? If it does work, how do you install it (before or after creating the corporate account, etc.)? If this app doesn't work, than can someone tell me how to bypass the password, and use the standard puzzle piece screen for my unlock.

Thanks!

This is the issue that will send me back to Best Buy this weekend. The Verizon guys could not fix it. My tech guys could not fix it. It's ANNOYING and makes my phone pretty darn useless. If I had to do the pattern to get in, OK. But an 8 character code. Forget it. Should have got hte Iphone....Goodl uck! I'm returning mine if they can't offer better solution.

Try to un-install the application by following the directions below.

  1. From the home screen, select Applications.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Applications.
  4. Select Manage applications.
  5. Select an Application.
  6. Select Uninstall.
  7. Select OK.
  8. Select OK.

I unistalled the Lock picker app, but the problem remains. It seems to be an issue with the phone, and I have searched every setting but haven't found one that fixes this problem. With the iPhone, you can set how often you are asked to enter the security PIN, but it looks like you are unable to do so with the Fascinate.

I also tried the "no lock" app which works most of the time by deactivating the screen lock altogether, but I am still prompted by the security PIN screen on occassion.

Any other reccomendations?

The security pin is part of corporate email setup. If you remove that email account it should go away. But then you won't have access to the corporate email. Kind of a catch 22.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
