neeceeusa- Ads can appear for a variety of reasons. Most free apps include ad pop us and there may an option to get the paid version and reduce or eliminate the ads. As far as web browsing, it's similiar to a regular computer that has websites with pop-up advertisements. You can try and open the browser then tap the menu and select settings. There is an option for block pop up images. I hope that helps.

The popup ads are obnoxious and assure that I wouldn't pee on one of their products, much less use it.
Verizon gets plenty of cash from paying customers. To annoy us with this kind of crap makes them easy to replace when the opportunity knocks.
