I can't stream the spectrum tv app. It say I have a bad internet connection but I've got 5G service. I put the app on my wife's phone which is AT&T and it works fine. Is there anyone else having this problem? If so what did you do to solve it?

No all other apps work fine. For some reason it's just the spectrum app. I installed it on my wife's phone and it worked, but she has AT&T service. And no matter where I go it's the sam

That is indeed odd that it is only the Spectrum TV application, and that it works fine on your wife's device, acoll11. Since this seems to be an app specific issue, as other apps are working just fine, you may want to reach out to Spectrum for support with the streaming app. Click App support here for all the contact methods: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.TWCableTV&hl=en_US&gl=US

I did contact Spectrum and we tried a bunch of stuff that didn't work and told me maybe it was the network and now you're telling me it may be them. It works on the AT&T network just fine. It worked fine on my Verizon network up until maybe a month ago. I just don't know what to do then.

Thank you for this info, acoll11. Currently, how many devices do you have connected to the Verizon service?

Hi Natasha, I have 4 devices with Verizon service, but my S22 ultra and Tab S9+ 5G are the only ones I use to stream my Spectrum app on. That's because they are the only ones I take to work with me

Hi Gilbert, I'm at work at this time so it will be next week before I can talk or what ever. But I just tried the app again and it is doing the same thing.

I am yet have the problem steaming the spectrum tv app over the Verizon network. Like I said before it works perfectly over my wife's AT&T network. I tried it on the other phone I have and it does the same thing. Check your internet connection. I bought a new Tab S9 tablet thinking that might be it , but it wasn't. I don't know what else to do. Please do some testing and see if you can come up with a solution for me.
Thank you

acoll11 we are sorry to see that you are experiencing continued issues with your Spectrum TV app on your device. Looking back through the thread it appears that we have looked at a few things with you and that you have also tried your device with another connection without any issues. Are any other devices having issues with the application when connected to Verizon service? Does this happen everywhere or only in specific locations? Is your device software and the application verision both on the most recent update?

Hi Andi
This is happening everywhere. I think it may be a setting within the network. But what do I know I'm just an end-user. But I hope you can come up with something.
Thank you

Thanks for getting back to us. Since your device works with other apps and the issue appears to be related to using the app. We recommend you work with the application manufacturer. I recommend looking for their email in the Play or App store. -Joe

I don't use this app, but could it be that it's trying to stream in 4K or whatever the really high quality video is, and therefore taking up more bandwidth than the user's device is able to pull from their mobile connection? The user says they have 5G, but if it's not 5G UW or the 5G network happens to be congested a lot in their area, the data speeds are going to be slow. If there isn't a lot of speed on the network, then streaming apps are either going to be buffering constantly or will glitch out somehow. If they can adjust the video quality to run at lower quality, might help.

I don't know what happened but everything started working again. I can stream the Spectrum app at work now over the Verizon network.

Great to hear the problem went away! If your employer is also using the Verizon network for work-related stuff, it could also be that they are blocking out some apps to prevent whatever business applications are using the mobile data network from slowing down. Anyway, happy streaming, and hopefully you don't run into the problem again.
