Problems receiving SMS picture messages from tmobile.

I am having issues recieving picture messages from my friend who is on the tmobile network. I get the message and sometimes it gives me the option to download the picture, but it eventually loads nothing and leaves a blank text bubble. only a few images get through, we have fooled around with megapixel size, etc, to no avail. She said the rest of her family that has samsung devices on verizon also have the same issues. Is this a known bug? She is sending them from a G2
