Profile photos for contacts missing after upgrade on 1/19/22

I have a few group chats in my texts. It always used to show the profile photos for the person texting as it was helpful to see that rather than a very tiny name. After the System upgrade today, that feature no longer works. How do I get the photos to come back in a group chat. NOTE--I tried profile sharing and it does nothing. I have an S10

I understand your desire to have your Samsung Galaxy S10 device contacts display correctly on your device. Especially after completing a device software update. I'd love to help.

Since updating your device software, have you tried power cycling your phone by turning it completely off and back on?

Thank you , yes I have. Also another little oddity, the Power Off button on screen is no longer red but gray. Weird.

The photo next to the contact name is definitely handy, Celtic96! Are the pictures still there if you go to your regular Contacts app? Is it only in the text messages that their photo is missing?-Nikki

The pictures are all still in my contacts, they just no longer show up while in a group text.
