Not really.  To get rid of all the junk and debing you have to use methods that are not recommended or promoted by VZW.

You can download a custom launcher from the Market such as launcher pro and hide the bloatware, that's about it though.

at least bloatware doesn't take up much space or really impact the phone at all..does suck to see something you're never going to use though
