S20+ keeps adding +1 after update

  I have a Verizon Samsung S20+ that about a year ago, after an update, it just started inserting +1 on all numbers phone or text. I have read so any forums over the last year about this my eyes are crossed. I've called tech support at Verizon and nothing after 3 supervisors. So I'm hoping someone here can help. Here's what I've done so far:
  
  1. Tuned off assist dial
  2. Reset my phone
  3. All contacts have been triple checked that they were entered with no +1.
  
  I'm just not sure what's going on. Someone else on my account has a Samsung S23+ but theirs does not do the +1 and they got the same update I did.
  
  I'm ready to scream (well I already have several times) but it really needs to stop it messes up things. So if anyone can help I would be most appreciative!!!
