For anyone having trouble getting their Samsung S21 Ultra 5G UW to connect to 5G or 5G UW.

Example- my phone would not ever connect to any 5G or 5G UW Verizon network. Same new SIM that came with the phone, phone is undamaged and works in every other way perfectly. It just wouldn't register on any 5G network and only stayed on 4G.

  • Ensure that you are indeed in a good 5G or 5G UW coverage area. No need to restart your phone.

All you have to do is reset your network settings. Do NOT do a factory reset.

Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Unless your device is damaged in some way, this is the only solution I've found. The issue isn't on Verizon, but the device itself. It doesn't clear all the random network settings and eventually it causes connectivity issues.
