How do you turn off 5G on the S23 Ultra? It does not give me the option in the mobile network settings.

I thought if you:
1) have a Verizon version phone
and/or
2) a Samsung phone
there's no way to manually select the band anymore? Because both Verizon and Samsung disabled manual band selection last year. I am guessing the iPhone user has an unlocked model. Starting to wish we could still do it somehow because it's not just people in rural areas who are having issues with 5G, but my 5G service has been a little wonky lately. Can't tell if being in LTE would help any since I can't pick it.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.

I Spent the time making a username for this post. Verizon will lock your phone 100 percent, if i had known i would have stayed with T-Moble. I went out of country and paid for their international plan. When there for whatever reason, 4G did not work right with the country's towers. i was unable to use the internet, couldn't load bank apps or my reservations and or maps. The only work around i had figured out, make a phone call to some random company with auto answer. this would switch my network to 3g, then all my web pages worked. i could load banking apps and load maps. I explained this to customer service for hours on end. none of them understood, this is with a S22 Ultra. I would have to endlessly make phone calls in loops to drive to keep the maps updated. When i got back in the states, they promised a refund for the international plan. I never received it, i tried explaining and was called a liar. I had taken screen shots; was told they can't use that as proof. I now sit here at work, stuck with 1 bar of 5g. I can't switch to 4g, i do a speed test and get .02 Mb upload with 100 percent packet loss. I rarely receive phone calls. impossible to load webpages. i know sprint previously i had here had full signal. I have someone next to me with Iphone and verizon. They turn on 5g with same signal issue, however they have the option to select 4g and then they have full sginal

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S23. Before buying the phone I researched if you could switch between 5G and other mobile services such as LTE (similar to iPhones). Standard Samsung S23s can switch between 5G and other mobile networks. The Verizon version of the Samsung S23 you cannot. I went to a Verizon store and they told me there was nothing they can do. I am very disappointed in Verizon. I guess they donโt care about the health of their customers because they donโt give us the choice to choose how much radiation and cell frequency we want to expose ourselves to. I am a long time Verizon customer and an investor in their stock. I guess I will have to find another company that cares about the health of their customers and will have to stop investing in this company.
