S6 edge problems

Not sure if this is the best place for this comment or not but something needs to be done with this piece of crap phone. I have had this phone for about 2 months now and I am completely unhappy with it. 3 days after receiving my phone I had a screen rotation problem and my screen would not rotate. Verizon offered to send me a replacement phone and I opted to wait to see if it would fix itself with a update. After my last update the auto rotation seems to work fine until yesterday after waking up to go to work my phone would not unlock it just kept on auto rotating back and forth for about 5 minutes I could not unlock my phone or turn it off. The phone finally reset itself once it finally came on it said connected to dock station. I don't even own a docking station. So now since this is happen every single time I answer a phone call it automatically goes to So now everytime I answer a phone call it goes straight to speakerphone. If it wasn't for the Verizon employee talking me in to the Samsung Galaxy s6 I would have upgraded to the htc one m 9. Verizon's only suggestion is to send the phone back in for a replacement but the problem is my screen cracked from a two foot drop off of my couch onto pergo flooring. So much for unbreakable Gorilla glass i guess. To be completely honest if I had the chance to go back to my old HTC m7 I would do it in a heartbeat. I will never own another samsung galaxy phone again in my life. Hopefully someone who is trying to decide if they want the s6 this will steer them the other way.

Paperboy2580,

I am sorry to hear of the issues you are having with your device. We do not like to hear that you are unhappy with your phone. Do you still have the same issues with the phone going to speakerphone when placing the device in Safe Mode? http://vz.to/1fWjyBp

You are so right the Samsung s6 is a piece of crap the phone has a mind of its own I had it with AT&T I didn't want the phone but the salesman talked me into it and then naturally if the 14 days where you can bring it back and get a different one the crap happened! Every morning I would turn the phone on and something else was wrong with it AT&T would take over can go into the phone in trying to fix it they actually made it worse in fact i am still fighting with them! So now I am with Verizon and I have a turbo turbo max but I wish I woulda known how about the HTC one 9! But I must say this Turbo Max from Motorola is working fine takes great pictures but that new HTC grabbed my eye I want it! I know I could go to sprint and give up this phone and they will pay Verizon & I could get the HTC but the signal with Sprint Blows! But anyway good luck with that piece of crap Samsung S6! My advice to you is get a new one which they say its rebuilt and then put it on eBay it will sell fast I almost got $650 for mine and told AT&T to shove it good luck

Safe mode does the exact same thing. When the speakerphone issue first started whIle plugged in with my "quick charger" I received with my phone it had a notification that said home dock connected... I don't even own a homing dock, next thing you know all my calls are automatically on speakerphone. Talk about no privacy... I know 1 thing is for certain I will never ever buy a Samsung phone again in my life. But what can you do?

Hearing that you are still having this issue is concerning Paperboy2580. If the issue still happens in safe mode then the next step we recommend would be to complete a factory reset on the phone. We of course recommend backing up everything on the device before doing so. Once the reset is complete and before you install everything back, try the calls again to see if the issue still occurs. Please keep us posted if you are having any additional problems after the reset.

I have the same problem on my Note 5.

I contacted Verizon support but Verizon support is unwilling to help correct the issue.

I do have a small superficial crack on the back on the device, which I have since covered up with a case.  If I had this crack only, and didn't see many comments online like in the example links below I would state the the crack is cause for the problems and I would own up to filing an insurance claim.  I did try to contact Verizon but Verizon is unwilling to help me because there is a crack and that I would have to file an insurance claim. While having the small crack on the back of the case is my own fault, this hardware issue appears would have happened regardless.

But it appear Verizon is unwilling to help correct an issue that would have happened regardless only to cause myself to have to spend the $150 deductible.

They're definitely helping you by providing you with that information because if they were to process a warranty replacement for you your next bill would include a $300 charge for sending in a damaged device, since those are not covered by the manufacturers warranty, much more than the insurance deductible.

Those aren't your only options though, Some people have had 3rd party electronic shops fix cosmetic damage to their phone, and then have a warranty replacement processed if they can get it cheaper than a deductible charge.

Also, you could contact Samsung and ship your device to them for them for a fix. They also may able to help better with all the technical issues you are having since they are the most knowledgable about your device than any other company.
