Note tried in device update and Verizon update tool both say no update available

I downloaded/installed the update OTA to my S9+ on Tuesday, 5 June. It showed up when I manually checked for updates on the the device.

I've done both those manual update and through the update app keep saying no update available

  1. What version is currently installed on your device?
  2. Have you tried rebooting and rechecking? That has helped me in the past with updates that don't show up on their own,,,

Feb sec. Update that came out in March

I have cleared the cache cleared the framework app cold booted.

Tried the PC update app says my device is up to date no update available.

I guess my imei isn't set for update yet....

Maybe, they're getting ready to push out SMR-JUN-2018 (dated 1 June 2018)?!? (One could only hope!)

Samsung makes solid devices but a very little follow up updates.

Mostly just bloatware. Is their concern.

My next device will be a pixel unlocked at least Google supplies monthly security updates. Directly to their devices

No more provider locked devices for me.

We know having the latest update on your device is important, keep in mind updates are sent in batches of hundreds of devices at a time. If your device is not detecting there is a new update the next step is to do a factory reset then try the software update without restoring your information into the phone. Paloma_VZW

So...

It appears that VZW has in fact released another NEW update including SMR-JUN-2018 as of 15 June 2018 (that is two updates in less than two weeks!), but it has not yet been pushed to my device:

     Current Software Update v1-5

          Software Version: R16NW.G965USQS2ARF4

          Androidยฎ Security Patch Level: 2018-06-01

          Updated: 06/15/2018

This could explain why some were not seeing the previous update on their devices. This also shows how quickly that updates CAN be made available!

Hopefully, this will be pushed to all of our S9/S9+ devices within the next day or two.
