SMS Fail I can send, but can't receive SMS Texts

I can send out Txt messages.  Sometimes I receive them, other times I do not.  Worked fine last week when I had a Blackberry, now with Fascinate, I won't receive text messages or they finally come through hours later.  Please help.

Both phones mine and other phone have both done the *228 etc

 

Any ideas, any one with he same issues.  Is Verizon having issues with texting or is it just me?

Check to make sure the auto receive message option is checked. You can check this option by follow the steps below:

  1. From the home screen, select Messaging.
  2. Press the Menu button.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Auto-retrieve.
    Note Enabled when a green check mark is present.

Also, try to perform a soft reset. You can do this by removing the battery from your device, wait about 30 seconds then re-insert the battery and power up the device.
