Samsung Fascinate- Camera not working

The camera phone function doesn't work.  When software is open and try to take picture, the phone will freeze up or not take picture and will give a "force close" message.  Tried new O.S. (2.2 update) nothing works (:  HELP!!!!!

This is definitely an issue with your specific phone. I recommend either a hands-on evaluation at the store, where a new device can be ordered for you if necessary, or we can order one for you here at customer service. You can PM me with your wireless number, contact number and a good time to reach you, and I can also send you a device. Finally, you always have the option of reaching us at 1-800/922-0204 from an alternate phone for troubleshooting, and also a replacement if warranted.

this is not a hardware issue...i have the same issue and only since updating the software.  Try again verizon!
