Samsung Galaxy S 2.2 Update Pages Won't Delete
blottingtheink

My phone just updated to Froyo 2.2, and I can't get rid of the seven (! 7! 7!) pages it installed. They are an affront to my eyes, my battery life, boring, unnecessary, and taking away control of my phone. I may be overly upset about this.

I've tried clicking on "edit page", and then all seven of them come up at once, but clicking the "remove" button at the bottom does nothing. I can change the homepage, but that's it. If I'm stuck with these pages, I may cry.

Please help me figure out what I'm not doing right.

I believe different launchers will allow you to change that.  Take a look at Launcher Pro and ADW.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm trying Launcher Pro now. I really appreciate it.

I remain frustrated that Android would make an "option" to remove the pages, and then have it all be a lie. I AM NOT FOOLED BY YOUR OVERTURES OF FREE WILL, ANDROID. NOT FOOLED. NO ONE HERE IS FOOLED.

(Sorry, dude. I just have all these feelings.)

To edit / remove the '7' pages.

Touch the little gear in the upper left corner of any screen.

Press and 'hold' the screen you want to delete.

Then merely 'drag' it onto the Remove can until the remove can turns red.

Let go.  Page gone .  Repeat as needed.    : - )

To add a page back, just click on the blank page with the '+' in it.

Hope this helps.
