Samsung Galaxy S23 plus doesn't have visual voicemail

Visual Voicemail is absent on my S23 plus.  I've only had it less than a year and noticed a few months ago that it was missing.  I've paid for VV for at least a decade with other Samsung phones and my carrier as Verizon. I've contacted Verizon through chat support, who suggested I install a third party app, which is completely ignorant since I PAY Verizon for it and I don't want some flunky third party to access my calls.  So, I called and spoke with a tech who remoted in and tried to be very helpful, actually thought he was helpful when we broke the call for me to reboot.  BUT ... it didn't work.  There isn't a way to turn on VV and apparently there isn't a way to download the app.  What the heck??  Is this a Samsung issue or Verizon?  It is bad for me because I depend on VV because of my profound hearing loss.  Word on the Internet is it is broken and I will be request refund for three phones for the last (about) six months.  I consider this a ripoff because Verizon has to know VV doesn't work and yet they haven't told their Tier Support and they obviously know I'm billed for it every month.
