Samsung Galaxy S9+

Samsung Galaxy S9+   Please advise....New S9+, locked to Verizon, not activated yet; I 1st need verification of ID’s, that it’s true blue, before I personify it with my data. My problem is when I power up the phone, it’s oriented with it’s own agenda, on a rote course of activation.  Please advise how I can bypass this just to render with the issue that this info is buried, obfuscating my ability to visually confirm the identification numbers.  I will be activating as soon as I have verifiable proof of the values, I can have a phone again.  Thank You for anyone’s assistance.
