I have just got the N3 on the 10th, i pre-ordered it from best buy. I have spent over 8 hours with best buy and Verizon trying to get my service to work everywhere. we have changed the phone and the sims card more than 3 times. No luck, Verizon is now investigating to see what the issue is. anyone else having this problem? i think i should just switch services since Verizon doesn't seem to care about their customers.

zip code 94568. I have not seen more than 3 bars anywhere I have been (except in the Verizon store, but they have a booster). Yes, when they swapped my device, they did all the SIM switch and then new device+old sim and new device + new sim.

I am surprised that almost every Verizon associates are clueless to this issue. Yet, the one person at the store pulled up an internal Verizon support website that showed there are hundreds of similar report, and moderator had advised them to open a NRB ticket (whatever that is). He said this is a known issue and “someone” is working on it. But then the store manager came over and turned things off. Seems Verizon is hiding this for fear of a fallout. Verizon, your customers are not stupid. Its better to come clean, say sorry, and fix the problem. Even if the problem is from Samsung, it is Verizon’s responsibility when so many of their customers are suffering.

I have been having this same issue. This is crazy. I was actually having a sim card not found issue on my previous device. I thought all of my problems would be solved when I purchased this 600 dollar piece of hardware. It worked great until about a month ago. Its now going down the same path as my old device. I'm waiting for it to start saying no sim card. This is incredibly frustrating.

The canned responses from Verizon here are almost comical. It's either a script or a complete suspension of disbelief with regard to the nature of our posts.

We are not stupid. We know what is happening. If you can't as a Verizon representative actually address the real problem, then just don't post because it gives us the impression that you think us top be fools.

I've had the same problem for the last 3 weeks and I got my phone back in October when they came out. Spoke to a Verizon Rep and he sent me to the store to get a new SIM card. It did NOTHING. I called him back and he just sent out a replacement (refurbished) phone which I will be getting today. Hope it works. It's a pain though how much time I've spent trying to get this fixed and all the time I've wasted trying to re-send texts and calling back people because my calls keep dropping, and NOW all the time it will take to set my phone back how I want it with the back-up, apps, etc. Very disappointed with this phone when it comes to this. And to think I left my iPhone for it. I do have to say though that all of my interactions with the Verizon staff has been great. The rep I spoke to the first time, even gave me his email so I didn't' have to go through my story all over again, and called me back right away when the SIM card issue didn't work, and didn't hesitate to send me a new phone.

I'm trying to figure out what phone to buy outright. I can't reliably use the Note 3. Monday I drove for nearly an hour with no signal and all the time I was thinking about how bad it would be to have car trouble or an accident and not be able to call for help.

just got the "new" refurb......its sitting here trying to activate. not enough single in my house. also it looks like the back camera lens looks like someone drug it across cement. my device was purchased brand new and still looks brand new unlike this device that showed up at my door. very unhappy with how this is going.

20 minutes have passed and the device is still not activated......it failed twice now.

Yeah welcome to verizon when something is wrong. This company is really good at selling you things and signing you up for contracts - but if your issue is larger than just a simple replacement device GOOD LUCK

My last phone was replaced four times. FOUR TIMES over a year period for the same issue over and over. Finally the last time the issue happened before I  took it in I accidentally cracked the screen - and once that happened they would no longer replace the device for their OWN ISSUE because of the crack.

The moment another carrier gets service in my area I'm out of here.

Hey palanza87,

We appreciate your continued support and we would love to continue this relationship for years to come. That's four times to many to have your phone replaced, especially for the same issue.

Which make and model device do you have? What issues are you having with it?

A cracked screen is not covered under the manufactures warranty which is why we are unable to replace the phone to you at no cost.

Do you have insurance? If so, you can place a claim here,http://bit.ly/07CrqPK.

Three questions for @NicholasB_VZW

1 - What level of awareness do you possess relative to the ongoing problem with the new antenna power management circuitry on the Galaxy Note 3 and the deleterious effect it is having on phone signal and, specifically, the signal failures Note 3 users posting in this and the other threads are referring to?

2 - Is their a timetable for ownership of this issue with Samsung?

3 - Are any real fixes being considered?

Riztnack,

That's defintiely not the the experience we want you to have with your replacement phone. It should look and function just like a new one. Were you able to activate it?

So I've tried calling Verizon multiple times about my Verizon note 3 problem and either I sit on the phone for well over a hour and no response or I lose connection because of my spotty service. I'm honestly confused by the lack of response from Verizon on this obvious problem. I'm fed up with the note 3 and I honestly just want to change phones at this point. What are my options ? I'm at work and everyone with a Verizon phone has reception and I dont? And my other 2 Co workers who have the note 3 have the same exact problem minus the one with sprint....hers works.

Merric,

Look no further help is here! What seems to be going on with your Note 3? Signal issues in one particular location or all? May I have the zip code for those locations you are experiencing these issues in? How long ago was the device purchased?

Well, as i've stated in a couple of my fourm post my note 3 has no service 99 % of the time. It's very rare to be able to recieve text, calls or any of the sort. And when I can it's very unstable. No it's no the verizon network because I have a couple of reason's why it's not. Because my IPhone Works perfectly in the area, and it's on the verizon network. Ask me why I don't use that? Well it's because it's my company phone and since I switched to this new job they won't allow me to use it for personal use. So Smiley Happy Reason i'm trying to use my Note 3 again. I've had it since October 11th or 12th I forget. I've been expirncing theses concerns since I GOT It. The reason I stoped carring is because the people I spoke to on the phone about it " From Verizon" Told me it would be fixed in the next update...as you can see it hasn't.

The Zipcodes are the area my account is in. 27529. The 27529 is the zipcode of where I live. The Zipcodes below are some of the Areas I drive around.

But once again, as I stated in the post before. My Co-workers also have the Note 3 and they can't get it to work either.

I honestly just need some options. I ordered another Sim Card, and I bet you that won't help it either.

I've hard booted it before, I've done all the trouble shooting.

Thank you for these details, Merric. Please keep us posted with the results of the new SIM Card. Also, not sure if you have tried this, but please check: Settings > More Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode (Make sure this is set to LTE/CDMA > Global Data Roaming Access (See if it will allow you to choose : Allow access for all trips)

See if this helps you maintain a better connection. Thank you, Merric.

I want my S4 back, I love the size and the functions of the note but not having service is starting to get on my nerves.  I can switch to t-mobile if i wanted spotty service for cheaper.  I should have not traded up to the note 3.  I cant even make a call from my house and my kids and wife can get them all day.  So sad verizon would let this be the case for a flagship phone.

WOW! It's shocking to see this issue is still present approximately 5 months after the phone has been released!! I pre-ordered the N3 and ended up selling it in Jan. due connectivity and call issues ... the fact the neither Samsung nor Verizon has been able to resolve these issues is just pathetic! People pay A LOT of money for these devices and having them fall short in their primary function is UNACCEPTABLE!

I have an opportunity through work to get a phone and was considering the Note 3 as I truly do miss the size, Spen and multiwindow feature ... I am glad I researched first and didn't assume these issues were resolved given the phone has been out almost 1/2 a year now! How I wish there Samsung had some competition in the whole "phablet with a pen" market!

Wow, this is so disappointing to see.  I had decided to google to find out if anyone else was having service issues.  I had a note 2 and LOVED it but decided to upgrade for the better camera.  Worked ok for a out a month now nothing but issues.  Overall the phone is great as long as you don't want to make calls or text with it.  I have called verizon several times, first was told service issue in my area. Then told to go to the store and get a a new sim car.  Which I did and still no service.  Called again and was told it was probably the phone.. Sent a refurbished one...really after I just spent over 300 to up grade to a NEW phone, I get a used one, that's real nice In itself.  Well got the new used phone, had to reinstall all my apps and info lost ringtones and other things needed but oh well they got my 300 dollars they don't care.  Called again today as still no service.  She is "working" on the issue and will get back to me in a cpl days.  really this is sad I pay over 180 a month for mine and my daughters phone, which is high but verizon has always had good service until now.     I did inform her that I don't care if it's under contract or not that if they can't get me service I will cancel and change to a provider that can, sad as I have seen with verizon over 10 years.   Guess it's time for change.

Man, I really hate still seeing these posts! Especially after  I just had my job order me a Note 3 ... I was hoping that there were issues with the earlier batches of the devices. I saw a thread on xda were a user was having issues and then a vzw rep recommended trying a new number as a last resort effort. He states since that new number he's had no more issues (he had a old Alltel number) ... not sure if that's a solution for everyone, but I went ahead and had my job order my phone with a new number. Hoping for the best!!
