I recently purchased a factory unlocked "used" Samsung S22 phone. My old phone is a Samsung A02s. I used Smart Switch to transfer data from the old phone to the new phone and installed the sim card in the new phone. On the A02s I was using the Samsung Message SMS app which I really like and I am familiar with how use to and understand how it functions. Now, on the "new" phone I seem to be stuck with the Google Message app which I really don't like. I thought, when transferring data, apps, etc I would have the Samsung Message app on the new phone but not so. Is there any way to work around this? When I go to settings, then apps, and then to choose default apps I get a page that has a selection of Message+, Messages, Messages, and the another called Messages which is the Samsung app and try to set the Samsung app as the default but "it" won't me choose the Samsung Msg app as default. I find that I don't want to have to learn how to use the Google Msg app....I like the Samsung Msg app. Is there anyway around this?
