When my phone tries to start up it gets stuck on the red Verizon startup screen. I have tried the following: 1. Removing and replacing the battery. 2. Trying a different battery. 3. Pressing a variety of combinations of the Home, Power and Volume buttons and then rebooting the phone. 4. Clearing the cache partition. None of these has worked. I prefer not to do a factory reset as I don't want to lose all my data. Are there any other fixes I can try?

Same thing happened to me. What is the fix? If it's a factory reset how do you do that? Are there any other options first?

SWdeLaine, we know the importance of ensuring your phone is working as it should. We're truly sorry to learn that your phone is stuck in the start up mode. Here is a link to perform resets on the Samsung Note 4. Our recommendation would be to try the soft reset (http://spr.ly/6600GPlpu) option prior to the factory data reset (http://spr.ly/6601GPlpR).
