Samsung S8+ issues--S. Korea

We just moved to S. Korea. Yesterday we went to the LG U store to try to purchase a new sim card. They don't work. We tried the provider next to them...still doesn't work. The first sim gives me the msg that the phone cannot register on the network. The second sim says it doesn't work with my phone. The person helping me installed the new sim card. The phone prompted to be restarted. Once it was restarted I reset the network connections. Nothing. I don't want to buy a new phone. I used the support chat function on verzion wireless and the tech support guy said they should work here. I do not know what else to do.

This might help.  Most likely your phone needs APN setting reprogrammed.

Thanks for reaching out to us. We can not guarantee that your device is compatible with an overseas carrier. It is possible that your device isn't compatible to the frequency of the overseas carrier's network.
