I'm sorry you're having trouble with your text messages. To get a few more details, there are a couple of questions that need to be asked. First, are you not receiving any text messages or messages from a specific number? What messaging app are you using? Finally what's the zip code where you're having this issue.

Thank you for the additional details. Are any other devices having the same issue? Are your other services working correctly?

Was this issue resolved? I am having the same issue with my Samsung Galaxy 23 phone after doing the last system update last week. Using the default messaging app and texts are not being sent or received.
Other devices appear to be okay so far. Other apps on this phone device also appear to be okay so far.
Could you please help?

Hey there, Jjabrams, thanks for reaching out about your messaging. When did this issue start? Are you not receiving any messages at all? Are you able to send okay?

What was the solution?? My phone is doing the same thing. It's had a new sim put in, restarted a million times, network reboot, everything. I was on the phone with tech for an hour and then she transferred me to someone else and the call dropped and I didn't have time for another hour call. It's super frustrating not recieving texts! Everything else on my phone works fine. I can't recieve texts from anyone on any network.

We're sorry to read that you've been having issues with your texts. When did this start? Have you made any changes or updates to your phone recently?

It started (or was noticed on sunday) I had purchased a 4th phone line on Saturday (an iPhone 15) and had a number ported to it from another carrier. This shouldn't have affected my ultra 23 line (0274) but it's definitely some funny timing.

Thank your for clarifying the messaging app used. Starting in September 2024, Verizon will shut down the Verizon Message+ app. Let's get you set up with another messaging app. The default messaging app for the Samsung Galaxy S23 is Google Messages for Android. However, Samsung Messages is also available for download from the Galaxy Store. You do have choices.
