Screen crack less than 30 days

It seems to me, that a phone 18 days old, has a small crack starting in top left corner and has never been dropped, would be covered by warranty.  I just moved to Verizon on 3/6/2014 from Sprint.  I was an employee with Sprint for 33 years and never had this kind of problem.

Took the phone into the Verizon store and was told it was not a warranty issue?  I have the Mophie Juice Pack on it, bought at the same time, and no damage to the it and the case of the phone, as I never dropped it yet!

This is not the way to treat a new customer.

Does not make any difference new customer or old customer or in between cracked glass is caused by the customer and will have to use your insurance and pay your deductible or send it to Samsung and they will quickly bill you $200.00 for the the replacement screen maybe even update your software for you and send it back.  Samsung will have your phone about 2 weeks.  Broken glass is never a warranty issue.  Not an easy issue to deal with when you just got your new phone I know.  Best of luck with it.

That Juice Pack you were describing at anytime you were using it)  Did it get overly warm if so there could been enough heat Generated to affect the glass either by just the heat or if you charged it,  It got warm and then you went outside with the phone, if there was a Temperature change like if it was really cold out that could of done the Damage) what I describe can be looked at as speculation but if that Juice pack can Generate any heat you can't rule out the notion it may have been the cause of the breakage..
