I have switched from messages+ to google messages, but my shared media did not transfer.
How do I get the shared media off my phone. I have my settings set to auto-download media. Where does that media get downloaded to? I have looked in my files, downloads, etc.
There has to be a way to get the media before Messages+ shuts down.
Thanks,
Debbie

Hello rachelsmom1. We're sorry for the whole ordeal. Here's a link that can help you transfer files and save them on Google messages: https://support.google.com/chat/answer/7651457?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid#:~:text=In%20Chat%2....

The web page you provided does not answer my question:
1. How do I get shared media from Verizon Message downloaded to Google Messages.
2. Alternatively, I have my shared media settings set to "auto-download" Where do those files get downloaded TO>

Not sure if the auto-downloading still works, because Messages+ is pretty much already dead at this point with the functionality for various things going away over the past several months already. If you have Verizon Cloud, maybe check there? Otherwise, there are 3rd party apps for backing up your texts. Google's texting app may not be compatible with whatever format Messages+ uses.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
