I have seen on some posts and in the user manual about setting the sync frequency (Gmail, etc) to different values likes every 15 minutes, every 1 hour, every 3 hours etc...
I cannot find this option or menu setting anywhere. Is this something that is not available on the Verizon Fascinate?
The only setting I can find is Sync is either ON or OFF.
I am under the impression that Gmail syncs automatically (if you have the Gmail sync on). Other email accounts that you set up yourself like Comcast and Yahoo you can change how often they check for new email in each email account own settings. Hope this helps.

Indianchief is correct, gmail is a "Push" sync, it will send your messages and calendar entries when they appear on the server or from your phone. The built in email program that is POP3 or IMAP, are a "Pull" sync, so they will have time settings on them to determine how often you want to check for email.
