Testing Battery Capacity on S6 / Reduced Battery Capacity

Can anyone suggest a good way to test the actual charge capacity of my S6?  Over the last month, the capacity seems to have really taken a hit, and the last 15% of the charge is the worst--once it hits 15%, it goes to 10%, to 5%, to 3% in a matter of minutes.

I've checked for battery drains, and found nothing.  The percentage of power used by different components/processes looks normal.  But I now seem to get perhaps half of the capacity I originally did.  I understand that it's good to go a full charge/discharge/charge cycle once a month to get good charge info.  I did that last night, and after letting it die, I put it on the wireless charger for about 2 minutes before turning it on.  When I turned it on, it showed that it was 34% charged--which is an obvious indication of some sort of problem.

Cliff's Notes: I would like to test the actual charge capacity of my battery--and I'm curious if anyone is experiencing similar issues.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like it's time for a new battery. You should be able to have one installed for around $50.00 if you shop around.

IMO, if the battery degrades as much as I suspect it has before the 1 year warranty is up, that should be covered by Verizon/Samsung.

Let's give you back the power to power your phone, chris_k. Are you also using original charger? Is the wireless charger you use manufacturered by Smsungg? Did this start after installing new apps or updates? What is the current system version found in Settings>About Phone>Software info?

I'm using the original charger (but had to have the replaced because the cable was bad--it would charge but not connect for data).  The wireless charger isn't manufactured by Samsung, but it certified compliant with the standard.  The degradation has happened over time.  It's just really bad not.  You'll see the charge profile below.  That was with intermittent texting and some facebook, and about two minutes of a mobile parking app.  That's it.

It's also worth mentioning that on the "fast charger", I can go from 3% to 100% in about 50 minutes, which is a strong indicator that the battery capacity is shot.

We'd like to put a fresh pair of eyes on this. Have you visited one of our stores with the phone & charger to test the charging capabilities using different cords?

I've tried charging it many different ways (standard charger 50% of the time, wireless 20%, car charger, 20%, old S4 charger 5%, USB to PC 5%).  The results are always the same.  I over-stated the charging speed with the rapid charger in my previous post.  After double checking, it's about 60-65 minutes.

It's been a steady but very noticeable decline in capacity for the past 2-3 months.  Also, if I look at what's using the battery, the typical usage is something like:
Screen: 6%

Android System: 5%

Google Play Services: 4%
Android OS: 4%

...

It's really, really frustrating for this to be happening, especially since this is also my home and work phone.  But to answer your question, no, I haven't been into a store lately.  It's difficult to make time to do so.  It looks like I have warranty until 4/8?  Guess I need to go in--but I'm not optimistic.  It's a difficult thing to demonstrate in the store, unless I sit there for five hours.

Along the same lines, I had one of the HTC Thunderbolts, and it was one of the many that got destroyed by the ICS update.  This was back around January of 2013 I guess?

I let time get away from me, and wasn't able to address this in a timely manner.  The warranty expired on 4/8.  My fault  Sometimes life, work, kids, etc get in the way of trying to get keep your gadgets working.  I don't suppose there's any way to get this addressed under warranty since I brought this up well before the warranty ended?  The battery is almost shot now.  In the two hours since I unplugged my phone this morning, with only light texting and email use, the phone is down to 70%.
