I just returned from Mexico where I kept my phone on "Airplane Mode" to avoid data and roaming charges. When I returned to the United States I turned off "Airplane Mode" and expected to receive text messages that come to me daily from my team at work. After waiting and eventually reseting my phone, I still have not received text messages that were sent while I was in Mexico. Is there a way to access these messages?

The FAQs state it's a five-day window, i.e., "The network will attempt to deliver the message for five days (120 hours) from the date of receipt."

Sorry to hear about the missing texts, kevin.ahrens. If your phone was placed in that mode, the text messages will not come through. There is usually a one to two day window for texts to come through when your phone is either off or in airplane mode. I apologize for the missed texts.

Turning on airplane mode while internationally traveling turns off my Wi-Fi.
Turning on airplane mode while internationally traveling turns off my Wi-Fi.
Why does Verizon support keeps saying turning on airplane mode while international traveling still lets you get Wi-Fi.

Richard643, we're right here to help. We suggest that you turn airplane mode on while traveling internationally only if you do not have Wi-Fi to connect to & you don't want to incur any international charges. Are you having any issues with your phone right now while out of the country? Please elaborate on what the troubles are so we can assist you. -Alicia
