Hello, I keep seeing texts from the number 6245 and responses to 999-999-9999 on my sons phone bill. Can anyone tell me what or who this may be? Thank you!

6245 spells MAIL so the texts could be coming from a mail client to your son's number @ vtext or vzwpix dot com. It could be an app or service (game?) he uses that is sending texts that way.

Thank you for your reply. I’m also seeing him reply back to that text which is showing as a 999-999-9999 number. I’m not sure about the gaming on his phone- I checked and there are no new downloads. Would a reply back to a “mail” account show as 999-999-9999?

Searching this Community Forum for 'text 999' shows several threads discussing this. Here is one that tested sending a text to an email address and the results in the log: https://community.verizonwireless.com/t5/My-Verizon/Text-Log-shows-999-999-9999-why/m-p/1144670#M190...

Good question, Kmtc. A reply to a text message or email via vtext.com will show as 999-999-9999. Does this help?
