Time is incorrect on my phone

I have a Note 5 and lately it shows the incorrect time, about 5 minutes behind, even after restarting. I live in Eastern time zone, but the area code for the phone number is Pacific time zone, don't know if that makes a difference- it never used to...

Hi, thanks for replying. I don't think the software can be updated anymore, it's a Samsung Note 5, so several years old. The last update was 8/24/18 to N920VVRS3CRH1.

You can manually update the time on your phone by following the steps below. Please let me know if this helps!

• From a Home screen tap 

  Apps 

  .

  These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
• Tap 

  Settings

  .
• From the System section, tap 

  Date and time

  .
• To use network provided values, tap the following to turn on .
• Automatic date and time
• Automatic time zone
• To manually set date, time and time zone:
• Disable (turn off  😞
• Automatic date and time
• Automatic time zone
• Tap 

  Set date

  .
• Adjust the date then tap 

  Set

  .
• Tap 

  Set time

  .
• Adjust the time then tap 

  Set

  .
• Tap 

  Select time zone

  .
• Tap the time zone.
• If preferred, tap 

  Use 24-hour format

  .

  Enabled when a check mark is present.
• Tap 
  Select date format

Thanks! The problem was that somehow the set time/date automatically was turned off. When I turned it on the correct time was displayed. ☺
