Turning off caller ID announce

I have read the other posts on this subject and tried all the suggestions, but STILL my phone announces the caller ID. I updated last night to 2.3.5 and still no luck. I just want to hear my phone ringtones that I have. Anyone have any other ideas? Please??

Is this checked?

 

SETTINGS | VOICE INPUT AND OUTPUT | TEST-TO-SPEECH SETTINGS | DRIVING MODE

 

If so, uncheck it and try it.

Yes that is unchecked and always use my settings is checked, I always have my phone on vibrate now because the announce thing is so annoying and if I have the volume down I can't hear it anyway. So i miss alot of calls now, I just want to spike my phone off the ground! lol
