Unstable celluar and wifi service in my home

I don't know what is going on with Verizon, but for the last few months we have been having issues with both our celluar service and wifi service in our home.  We have tried rebooting the router for the wifi and that has not helped.  This is occurring with all of our devices (cell phones and computers).  It is getting worse by the day.  My son works from home and needs his cell phone and this is unacceptable.  We barely have one bar of service on our phones.  What is the issue??
