On my Samsung S9+ phone, Verizon has a pop-up ad for its Safe Wi-Fi app that appears every time I connect to a wi-fi network and sometimes even when I just go to another webpage. I have not installed the app and it does not appear on my phone's list of apps or on my online account settings. I have called customer service 3 times to get rid of the annoying pop-up ad but no one at Verizon seems to be able to help. The pop-up ad is also highly patronizing as its ask whether I want to connect safely using their monthly paid app or connect "with risk"!
Anyone have suggestions on how to get rid of the pop-up ad (other than succumb to Verizon's insulting marketing by subscribing)?

VZW's Safe Wi-Fi app has 2.8 out of 5 rating. Who would want it, let alone pay for it?

Raitosan, I understand your concern regarding the pop up. I would be concerned as well. I see you stated you have not downloaded the application however did you sign up for the services online? You can check by doing the following:
Sign into My Verizon desktop version.
- Select My Plan & Services.
- Select Manage Products & Apps.
- Scroll to locate Safe Wi-Fi pod; click Get it Now.

jrh4054, It's great to know the details before you make your decision. TYou get to try the Verizon Safe Wi-Fi Application for free for the first month. After that, it would be $3.99 per month to cover up to 10 devices on your account. See item 1 under "General Information on this link.
Does this help? Is there anything else that we can help with?

Joel_VZW, as I said before, why would anyone pay for an app with such poor Play Store user ratings when there are many free ones with much better ratings?

Raitosan, Try switching Wi-Fi security OFF in the Security & Privacy app:
- Go to the Security & Privacy app
- Select Settings > Wi-Fi security
- Switch Wi-Fi security OFF.
I got the same popup as you, and although I haven't tested it thoroughly yet, this seems to have worked for me.
