Ok. I wanted to add an esim from another provider to my phone, should be simple right? No. I installed the eSIM but I kept getting a notification saying it wouldn't work because it wasnt a Verizon SIM. My device has been paid off for some time and should be FULLY unlocked. So I contacted customer support and the Agent told me that in order to use my eSIM from a different company I had to PAY VERIZON for a new line on my account. That is totally insane! If this exact same phone came Unlocked from Samsung I would not have to pay anybody anything to use an eSIM from anybody! I may very well end up leaving Verizon over this, I don't want a Verizon eSIM so why should I have to pay to use a feature on a phone that is supposed to be TOTALLY Unlocked?
