The note 10 plus is a scam. A money grab by a corporation. They put out a device they knew would not be compatible with their future plans for 5g just to say they were first. All the other carriers shipped X55 verizon used the outdated X50 that is not capable working with their nationwide 5g. I called verizon chatted with verizon was lied to saying nationwide would be supported by my device. That is absolutely not true because the X50 does not support DSS which is used by the new nationwide 5g.

You are correct: The 2019 Verizon Note 10 + 5G shipped with the X50 modem and chip. It was not ready for widespread usage. It is useless for the great majority of 5G customers. It only provides access to the Ultra band that is in less than 1% of the US. Let's try to get a reasonable solution from Verizon.

I just got off the phone with Verizon support. Asked what they options were for customers who bought Note 10 plus 5g in 2019. I explained the following;
1. I bought device directly from Verizon in 2019 with trade in of an IPhone.
2. I cannot pay my device off because I would be loosing my discount for trade in.
3. I recently upgraded my plan to the Verizon 5g access.
Representative explained I had the following options.
1. Pay off the note 10 plus 5g I purchased from Verizon in 2019, loose my discount, and pay the upgrade fee in order for me to obtain the note 10 plus 5g that is compatible with Verizon 5g network.
Thats all.
I'm livit! Verizon does not porivide customers with what they need. Am I missing something here. I pay for the devoce monthly, have no past due bill, good history with Verizon and this is all I get? Bogus!!!! 2019 note 10 plus 5g is a scam!!!! Period. False advertising.

It is a terrible situation that in these most difficult times we have a company trying to do everything not to deliver what the device is supposed to do. The company advertised it as 5g where is the 5g?

Yeah their solution is to basically say you're messed up out of $2,300 for phones that don't work on the 5G Nationwide and they try to sell you two more phones for $2,400 that will work on the Nationwide plan great solution Verizon

It's 2022 now and Verizon is still not offering a solution to this. Some of the store techs will acknowledge that it doesn't work but the rest give you other things to "try". They claimed it was the SIM card, software update, only works in UW areas, make an insurance claim and get a new Note 10+ 5G, then it will work. It absolutely does not pick up 5g or the UW. Customer service tells you that it is Samsung's problem to fix even though Verizon keeps selling the phones stating that they will get 5g and knowing they won't. Verizon has the buying power to have Samsung address the issue if it is indeed their problem. We should get refunded the service we paid for and the phone.

But you are wrong. It does support 5g. this guy shows the exact model that you and I have in Providence Rhode Island, see his notification bar connects to 5G. And watch him test 5G service. Just because you do not have 5G service in your location, does not mean that 5G does not exist on your device or that it is not exactly as advertised in 2019 when the phone was released and when 5G service was still limited to major metropolitan areas only.

Wasn't aware Verizon made the phone and not Samsung, cool.

You can help me by giving me a realistic solution. I purchased a premium device that has an outdated X50 that does not deliver a 5g experience. Do not give me the run around give me a solution.

There are only two supposed differences between the note 10 plus and the note 10 plus 5g they are price and 5g , that being said why would any sane person pay extra to get a device that does not deliver a 5g experience. verizon do what is right and find the note 10 plus 5g owners a real solution. We are aware of the coverage area and the software updates available to other devices that allow them to experience 5g.

The galaxy note 20 ultra is a comparable priced device. That would meet all the 5g compatibility requirements.
