The note 10 plus is a scam. A money grab by a corporation. They put out a device they knew would not be compatible with their future plans for 5g just to say they were first. All the other carriers shipped X55 verizon used the outdated X50 that is not capable working with their nationwide 5g. I called verizon chatted with verizon was lied to saying nationwide would be supported by my device. That is absolutely not true because the X50 does not support DSS which is used by the new nationwide 5g.

You are correct: The 2019 Verizon Note 10 + 5G shipped with the X50 modem and chip. It was not ready for widespread usage. It is useless for the great majority of 5G customers. It only provides access to the Ultra band that is in less than 1% of the US. Let's try to get a reasonable solution from Verizon.

They lied and offered nothing to make it right. ABSOLUTE THEFT. I am so disgusted . I would pay to organize a protest and we should all work together and coordinate to demonstrate how this is unacceptable.

Falcovzw, the last thing that we wish is for you to feel this way. Our intention is never for you to feel that you have something less or that you have been misled. We do specifically list details on our 5G coverage on the website so consumers may see exactly where this is currently available, as we work to expand this service. Having a 5G phone allows the opportunity of the 5G coverage in areas that do have this currently available. Please let us know what questions you have. -Loren_VZW If my response answered your question please click the _Correct Answer_ button under my response. This ensures others can benefit from our conversation. Thanks in advance for your help with this!!

Not only did your response not answer my question, it completely avoids and disregards All of my concerns and the purpose of my post. I could not feel more betrayed and mislead by Verizon and I've had my experience confirmed by multiple vzw employees. Why don't you please share some contact information so that we can have a conversation about my issues if you genuinely have any concern about your customers. I would LOVE to speak with any Verizon employees who are willing to express any concerns for customers who have been made into victims of deceptive marketing techniques and flat out lies. I manage a dozen Verizon wireless business accounts on behalf of all of my customers and I personally hold a Verizon residential contract, all of which I intend to cancel pending a response from your team.

We always want to make sure our customers are able to take advantage of our latest technology, DocMurdock. Technology is always changing, and we work towards improving our services day by day. The device you have has a different configuration compared to newer devices as our 5G Nationwide technology was not released in 2019. We do offer options, and we see we are currently speaking with you through a Private Note. If you have additional questions, we can continue our conversation through there. DavidR_VZW

Verizon advertised 5g ready. When consumers purchased device we knew there was no 5g then. The issue here is that verizon advertise the 5g ready for when 5g became available. Feeling scammed. Tricked into paying more for device vzw claimed would work.

Smells like a class action lawsuit. This is garbage!! At a minimum I'd like the difference refunded I paid for the 5G option. Cut the technology is always evolving garbage. You sold 5g phones under false pretenses.

I am also very angry that the 5G Note 10+ I spent a premium for isn't compatible with the nationwide 5G system Verizon just opened up. I want to confirm there won't be an update to the phone to allow access? This is (to say the least) NOT what I expected when I purchased the phone. I need a list of options to see how this might be rectified!

Sgeller63, thank you for reaching out today. We understand wanting your device to have all the best capabilities. As the manufacturer designs the updates not the carrier we do not know if there will be any updates that change the capability. As previously mentioned, the network is changing all the time as well and we're continuing to expand both 5G options.

No , the network continually being updated is farce response. The fact is note 10+ 5g purchasers bought it expecting the device to work on verizon's network with 5g. Only to be told no our system is different and it won't work.
Its akin to selling someone an electrical item with a UK electrical plug , but not telling them it doesnt work in the US , due to incompatibility. And then making them pay up to fix the omission.
Note 10+5g owners like myself, think this should be addressed. Especially a 20+ year customer of Verizon.

The question is when did Verizon start planning 5G DSS. The Note 20 series came out, I believe, the latter part of August. This Verizon version of the phone was built to allow access to low band 5G. To manufacture a phone with this capability a decision had to be made months before. This means the Verizon Note 10 5G was sold for several months when Verizon corporate knew that what was advertised and sold as 5G ready was in fact not going to be usable for the type nationwide 5G service that people might actually be able to access. And the UWB 5G deployment would not occur at a rate that a Note10 5G customer would be able to use it.
Why should the remedy be? I guess the ideal would be a swap with the comparable Note 20 version and if you're on a payment plan continue your payments as agreed. At least refund the difference you paid to get a 5G since you had the reasonable expectation that 5G capability meant being able to use it on however Verizon deployed the 5G.

Perhaps it should have been purposefully marketed as a "5G low band device", not just "5G". Saying a device gets "5G" indicates it gets "5G"... not "some 5G". Add to it the sales pitch of getting this one over the non-5G because this ensures future network compatibility, is the latent slap in our faces.
I believe Verizon could quietly exchange devices for those of us who have issue with this and save themselves a potential larger class-action event. This helps them and it makes us feel that they appreciate our business too (which once again, helps them). It makes no sense to me why this is so difficult.

What if anything did Verizon do for you or for anyone? I am absolutely LIVID that I have been paying for a 5g plan for over a year and I have a device that cannot connect faster than 4g PERIOD POINT BLANK. I moved from Verizon from straight talk for ONE reason, to gain access to 5g. At the time this was the one and only 5g phone for sale. I moved my service, paid over a thousand dollars for a phone and 140$ a month from 45$ a month to be lied to and scammed Hook Line and Sinker. I operate a Verizon business account separately from my residential service plan with Dozens of lines and I plan to cancel All of them and make the same recommendation to all of my customers. I am an account administrator on a number of VZW business accounts for client's whose IT services I manage and I intend to move every single client I can away from Verizon if they don't make an effort to make this right. This is The most egregious case of false advertising I have ever seen in my life and its far worse than Volkswagen getting caught lying about emissions. Absolutely Disgusted I wasted thousands of dollars in 18 months on verizon services for 5g service plans and hardware that only supports 4g which you can get on straight talk for 75% less per month. Verizon Lies and commits theft on its customers and Could care less when you bring it to their attention.

Are you telling us that we shouldn't trust what Verizon advertises? I went into the store to purchase this phone because I saw Verizon advertise it as their 5G phone. I purchased the phone because the Verizon sales rep said if you want a future proof device, you should buy the 5G verison instead. So is it all a big lie? Verizon the company (maybe not the sales rep at the store) knows exactly the type of 5G technology they are going to deploy years in advance. They definitely knew the direction they were going with 5G at the time this phone launched. Give us a solution and not a run around.

How about giving some of us others options - "other" than just buying another phone or waiving some fee - let us trade it in; waive the rest of the device payments and your going to make money off me when I but the next phone - why is this so hard.
We aren't trying to take advantage of you - it can't be said the same of you.
