I found that I had to call my own number to set up voice mail on my phone. I don't know how I can see if I have messages.

If you've switched from T-Mobile to Verizon and your voicemail is not working, here are some steps to solve your problem

Set Up Verizon Voicemail:

First, ensure that you've set up your voicemail on your Verizon phone. Dial the Verizon voicemail setup number, which is typically 86, and follow the prompts to create a new voicemail account and set a voicemail PIN.

Check Voicemail Settings:

Go to your phones settings and find the voicemail settings. Ensure that the voicemail is set to use the Verizon voicemail service. This may be under Voicemail or Phone settings.

Check Network Connection:

Verify that you have a strong network connection with Verizon. Poor or no network connectivity can affect your ability to access voicemail.

Reboot Your Phone:

Sometimes, simply restarting your phone can resolve minor issues. Turn your phone off and then back on to see if the voicemail starts working.

Call Verizon Customer Support:

If the issue persists, it's a good idea to contact Verizon customer support. They can check your account and settings to ensure everything is properly configured. They may also be able to reset your voicemail if needed.

Check for Dropped Calls:

If you are experiencing frequent dropped calls, it could affect your voicemail service. Ensure that you have a stable connection for calls.

Update Your Phone Software:

Check if there are any software updates available for your phone. Sometimes, outdated software can lead to compatibility issues.

Reset Voicemail Settings:

If your voicemail settings were transferred from T-Mobile and are causing conflicts, you may need to reset them. You can do this by contacting Verizon customer support.

Backup and Restore:

If all else fails, you may consider backing up your phone and performing a factory reset. This should be a last resort and should only be done if advised by Verizon support, as it will erase your data.

Check Voicemail App:

If you're using a voicemail app, ensure that it's compatible with Verizon and properly configured.
