Volume control screen

I pushed the volume button and the volume screen popped up like normal.  I adjusted my notification level and then waited for the screen to disappear...it did not.  It will not.  It continually stays on my screen.  I can't even reboot or turn off my phone because this screen covers any thing that appears behind it and therefore I cannot reboot my phone.

If I hit my volume button a new volume screen will appear and it disappears like it is suppose to, but the other volume screen is still present and I cannot get it to go away!

HELP PLEASE!

I finally got my phone to reboot.  Hold the power and down volume button together for 10 to 20 seconds and the phone rebooted.  The phone rebooted like normal and the volume screen went away.

YIPPEE!!!
