We're waiting on the 5.1.1 update, Verizon!

Verizon needs to approve the 5.1.1 update. Sprint's Note 4 users have had it for almost a month. T-Mobile users now have it as well. (Rumors are, by the way, that their update makes their phone feel like new.)

My biggest issue is lagging (especially the Recents menu). I've factory reset and that doesn't fix it. I'm afraid only the 5.1.1 update will fix that. There's nothing but positive comments about 5.1.1, and we're still here waiting on Verizon to push 5.1.1.

I know you'll reply with your Twitter handle, but your responses there aren't any better.

Breath holding seems to be over. I got 5.1.1 today. Now lets see if it really gets us a real fix....albeit months later than it should have been.

"I can say the same. Upgraded to 5.1.1 and everything is better. The "recent apps" lag is completely gone and the battery life is great."

Hmm, guess we'll just have to take their word on it.

"It is amazing how few posts there are in the Verizon Note 4 forum about anything other than hopes and frustrations. Hop over to the T-mobile Note 4 forum, and the place is buzzing with customization and root and activity. Just visiting Verizon's section is totally depressing.

They even have the Note 5 rooted - if you don't care about "samsung pay", which I dont.... there are awesome things going on there. What a difference.

Just sayin." (via SO frustrated with the note 4:( - Post #15 - XDA Forums)

Soooo, Verizon, any update yet?

Rooting:  We don't engage in that type of yappage here.

Eh, that part was irrelevant to me anyway. I don't want to root, don't know how to root, and to be completely honest, can't say with certainly that I even know what rooting really is. Give me 5.1.1 and I'm happy.

inntheboat, did you look at the last sentence of that ad?  Here it is: "When verifying the update, the software version should now be LRX21T.G900VVRU2BOG5. The update is only 904 MB".  The G900V is not the Note 4 (I think its the S5) and we already have BOG5, which is 5.0.1.

You're right, stargazer. Turns out that's an update from August for the S5 (Stagefright fix). Looks like that site is just looking for some hits.

So, Verizon, we're still waiting!

I talked to a Verizon representative yesterday about the problems I was having with my note 4 and did factory reset that didn't help so I ask when we where going to get 5.1.1 update and when it was coming out of course they didn't know but the representative said that she had 5.1.1 on her galaxy s5 so I don't know if there's any truth in to that. Or she was talking about the patch update but either way it's taken Verizon way too long to push out the update that we should of had months ago. So I think this absolutely ridiculous. I have been with Verizon for last 4 year. And I agree with Luck10 this time lollipop 5.0 update destroyed my Note 4. I have been anxiously waiting for the 5.1.1 and its just ridiculous that its taking Verizon so much time to release the update. I think the entire model for update sucks for samsung + Verizon. Moving on to Google phone + ATT soon just because of the slower update release procedure of Verizon + Samsung which I assume will never get better. And Verizon doesn't even compensate for destroying the customer experience due to the bad update.

Hopefully they just wont enhance the phone, but fix it. The last few updates broke it, I just hope this new update will actually do something good!
