Hey Everyone,

Since 2.2 Ive never needed the ATK since the apps I did not want to run, always restarted anyway so it was pointless and more harmful, furthermore, I believe the OS didnt necessarily have them running but had them on standby or whatever so it never really impacted CPU usage or battery life. 

Now with 4.0 i can just  disable apps (which rocks!) but I noticing several apps I open, then close remain open, so ATK would be very valuable. Would ATK be recommended with 4.0 or is it still potentially harmful?

ATK usually causes issues if you do not understand the configuration options, the latest build excluded primary system file from the auto close option so system issues are cut down to a minimal but you may want to check and see if the app has been made ICS compatible because things that is fine to close on 2,2 or 2.3 may give worse outcome..

I would probally stay away from it with ICS to play safe but its your decision....

You're right, its probably safe to let it be...it does provide a recommended ignore list which consist of primary system files and apps that require syncing/scheduling, but I was just concerned about all my apps that use data staying on...this battery drains incredibly fast but it looks like the screen is the cause.
