battery charge

my Samsung Galaxy is not holding a charge at all.  It is not even 1.5 years old.

Try clearing the system cache.  Turn the phone off.  Then push power, home and volume up buttons together  and release when you see the Android screen.  Now in the recovery mode, use the volume up/down buttons to select 'Wipe Cache Partition'.  Click the power button to execute the action.  Wait a few seconds for the script to flash, then restart the phone.

are you charging it every day, on or off??

some say battery efficiency supposedly decreases after so many charge cycles!!
