calls not being received, don't go to voicemail nor show up in recent activity for samsung flip4

have visited 2 Verizon stores and still no solution.  One had me reset my phone which disrupted data & bluetooth connections.  Sigh.  Seems the problem started in Novemberish timeframe when a major Verizon update was pushed through.  A Verizon rep also said there are known issues with the Samsung hardware.  I'd like to have my spouse able to reach me....
