Long-press the text and you should get a pop-up with various choices, including Delete (the text has still been sent, though, if that's the question).

Lets get to the bottom of this ballou12. Text message is my main means of communication so I understand the importance of it working properly.
Just so I am clear, are you trying to delete a text message that has already been sent? Once a text message has been sent you are unable to take it back. You can only delete it from your phone. The receiver of the message will still have the message on their phone unless they delete it.
We're here if you need further assistance.

I have the same question, but I see the answer is "NO" from Verizon. I DO remember with 1 of my VZW phones there was an option to retract a message back that you sent to someone by mistake, before they've had a chance to see it! DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THIS FEATURE??

I remember this that's why I came here looking for this answer! I wish it was still a feature that way of you accidentally sent something to the wrong person or you change ur mind about what u said you can cancel it before it reaches them! That would be a great feature to bring back Verizon! Fb messenger allows you to do that now you can remove it from both or just yourself!

DWruhstaller This feature is not possible with SMS messaging. This may be coming to RCS messaging but there is no indication by Google or anyone else on when or if it would be done. ~Peter
