deleted text messages question

hey guys i was just wondering if verizon keeps deleted text conversations? i deleted a whole conversation between my ex and i and didn’t want it coming back to my new phone that i’m getting pretty soon. all i did was delete it then backup afterwards. will it stay gone? (i have a samsung)

Good question. Once deleted, it will be gone. It should not be coming back to your new phone.
