Internet bookmarks have absolutely nothing to do with your device or your cell phone carrier. The bookmarks are saved under your particular account sign in for that browser. So for example if your email address is John and you change your email sign in to anew email as Jack, your bookmarks won’t show.

fwiw: chrome used to mirror my pc & i've lost bookmarks also on the phone & haven't been able to get them back.

What's the make/model of your phone? How do you back up your phone (for example: to a cloud service like Verizon Cloud, etc.)?
