at this point i think samsung posting this on the fascinate support site is an off hand way of samsung saying hey its here, its ur carrier that is screwing you over.

well did everything in my limited toolbox to connect to kies and update my fascinate, couple of times I thought I was close, but all to no avail.  It was a great thought but, no cigar.

kies is like the worst program known to man.  On Tmobile and AT&T, it's the only way to get Froyo as they haven't pushed anything OTA.  And it doesn't work for Macs so the fruit users are out of luck.
