I too, have the fascinate and purchased it in September '11....on my 2nd "replacement" which continues to experience the SAME problems as before. I am STILL missing phone calls; no incoming or missed calls shown on my phone. I'm still not receiving text messages, and some are constanting being shown as "failed" messages. I am also expriencing my phone shutting down and freezing/force closing of numerous programs, constantly. Emails not being delivererd adds to the problem as well. I've had one issue after another and have gotten no help from Verizon on helping me resolve this issue. All I"ve gotten so far is a "we'll send you another fascinate replacement" which has the SAME problems as before. THey claim it has to do with the software, but the software was the same, updated one on both. Nothings changed. I have never been SO disappointed with a phone before in my 11 years with Verizon. The reviews on the phone itself from Verizon have been HORRIBLE, so why if it's known to be such a horrible phone is no one willing to assist customers? I am at my witts end with this phone. The battery is also completely dead after 2 or 3 hours, and I haven't even used it much at that point. It is SO frustrating. And now that I cannot get a new phone for a year, I am at a loss for what I am supposed to do for the next year. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!!
Sadly, this is the EXACT same issue I have and when I took it to the store the last time, they looked at me like I had 6 heads and then said "Well, it works RIGHT NOW" I even showed them my long text messages with the "Failed" text symbols (and of course, the texts that said "Failed") But since they texted themselves and it worked, I must have been making it up somehow.
This is my 2nd replaced Fascinate - same problems as the first one, all the same problems you have mentioned on yours, plus more. I am so sick of the phone freezing up. Prior to this phone, I had a Blackberry Storm, it had ALL of the same issues - it never worked right. With their replacement program, I was given 7 replacement phones in a year and a half period before I finally caved in and OUTRIGHT bought this Fascinate full price because it wasn't time for me to upgrade yet.
Last week I begged for the chance to swap out this phone for something else, something that honestly and truly worked. It's been years since I have had a phone that actually worked right. They won't budge. I either pay THROUGH the nose for a brand new phone or wait until August 10th and pay a reasonable amount for a new phone. It sucks that I Have been a LOYAL customer for YEARS and I can't get decent service.
I just wanted to share with you that I am in the same frustrated boat as you. And maybe someone will reach out and help us?????????!!!!
GOOD LUCK! I can't wait until August 10th! But then at this rate, I will get talked into another expensive phone that will do the same as my last two phones have done.
